Hey guys! I'm in need of help... I have an 06 GT. It's had a hurst comp shifter since before me... When I had gotten it, shifting was kind of difficult, especially wide open throttle 1st-2nd. Anyway, I changed the transmission oil to Mobil 1 synthetic atf .. Definitely made it ALOT smoother, although I'd still get that slight delay at WOT 1-2 shift but I got used to it. Anyway clutch started slipping was the stock clutch, car has 192,000 kms on it so that's about 110,000miles roughly. Anyway this past thursday(a week ago) I got a McLeod super street pro clutch kit(which comes with a shim for the slave), I got a replacement slave cyl, pilot bearing, and rear main seal. Got it all done from a shop. I noticed when I got in the car to pick it up it was in 1st gear, I started the car and noticed as I had pressed the clutch before starting the pedal was way too soft(most likely air in the line). Anyway the car wouldn't come out of first. I had to turn it off and then pull it out of first. Anyways they said it's probably a little air in the line which will come out after driving a couple days. Well, I even bled the line(vacuum pump on master cylinder operation) the clutch pedal is fine feeling. Solid. But even now, when I'm sitting at the lights in neutral, I press the clutch to put it in first, it won't go into gear. Once I put it in third first, then it'll slide into 1st no problem. And while driving there's really no issues... Shifts fine. But why won't it go into first now? Once it warms up it starts going into 1st but still it requires some push. Not smooth. Did the new clutch and what not cause the hurst shifter to amplify it's issues?(I know people complain of hurst). And yes the flywheel was machined when the clutch was done. They will be taking a look at it on Saturday but I'm trying to figure out if any of you could have a guess as to what it could be. They didn't remove transmission oil or nothing, I'm not sure if they needed to disconnect the shifter, and if they did, maybe they reconnected it wrong or too tight? I'm lost right now as to what it could be, but it's very annoying after spending so much money it's not right in my eyes. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also since the clutch it has 240 kms on it, so that's about 140 miles I guess. (Roughly) ... I was told 500 miles/700 kms for a break in period.
