I was wondering if anyone knows how to keep the radio on longer than what it does? I've got the premium performance Pack with all options including the premium entertainment system. I'd like to take it to the drive in but I don't know if can handle the radio shutting off all the time after less than 10 min. Anyone know if there is a setting I'm missing?
Thx

I doubt there is a way to change that as it does it to conserve battery. Just put your key in the on position and you should be able to listen to the radio for as long as you want (or until the battery dies).

Hmm ok. I forgot there is no ignition switch for the key but I imagine there has to be some way to do it. Sorry, I'm just not familiar enough with the S550s to know. Hooking up the battery charger shouldn't impact it. I bet the timer is activated based on whether the ignition is on or off, regardless of what is hooked up to it.

I can't be the only one that finds this annoying...anyone else out there notice this? Guess I have to take my truck to the drive in...boooo....I used to enjoy driving my truck before I got the Stang.

It looks like the owners manual has your solution. The "on" position is achieved by pressing the start/stop button without depressing the brake pedal.

I can say I've sat in mine for as long as 45 min before it shut down. But I was hitting next random track every other song on 16gb sdcard. So maybe it didn't "time out" at 10 min. But yeah, damn, guess that is a PITA if you're trying to watch a movie. Too many critical systems, can't afford to let battery drain.
