Engine 2002 Gt With 91,000 Miles (oil Looks Like Metallic Paint)

Pistons are made of an aluminum alloy with a silicon component (that's what makes them hypereutectic.) Wear of a piston skirt might lead to those findings.

If the engine's not making any noise nor consuming gobs of oil I'd just keep an eye on it. Run some decent oil, change it and the filter fairly frequently and perhaps have another oil analysis done in 5 or 10K miles.

Well since the car only has 92,000 miles on it as of now, I'm guessing problems with the timing chain. Will definitely be keeping an eye on it haha.

I am curious if the analysis could tell how long the oil has been in the engine. A good friends father changed his oil after 25-30k miles or more. I was wondering if the high amounts of contaminants ie aluminum/silicone is due to that?

I've changed the oil a few times since I've bought it, so this interval was only 2,500 miles. I may end up just selling the car. I'm only 19, and don't have the money to have any unexpected problems, even though I love the car.
