type F is an older tranny fluid its not the same as Mercon....the friction modifiers are different between the 2. normally type f is a little more...
just did mine a few days ago i had to do them on my fox a while back. i wish my GTS had come with manual windows but its fixed now till the motors...
MANual steering>power i put a manual rack in my fox best mod ever over the t5 swap eventually when my GTS gets on the road it will also get a manual...
either trick flow covers or stock fox valve covers will work(have to mod the fill tube a little)
iirc the pump uses type f tranny fluid not hydraulic oil....

probably the weep hole leaking buy a new pump and put it on they are cheap
the 2.3 efi naturally aspirated is just slow :(
you can start by removing the air silencer from the intake tract
as for it now speeding up...
you buy a 87-88 tbird turbo and swap the motor and the computer and change around a few wires and you will be turbo

good to hear, these 2.3's can jump a tooth if they are turned backwards
it might make it rev faster but it will require more rpm to get moving and it wont store as much energy to accelerate out of turns etc w
you always replace the plate with a clutch(it has a wear pattern and will cause driveability problems) also you must get the flywheel turned
id suppose it custom or a 67-68 modded to fit
