I run the GT40 tubular and wouldn't have anything else simply because it looks so bad ass!
That piece needs to be there. It makes contact with the key cylinder. Not sure what it does, but should be there.
I had the turn signal problem and it was the ignition switch.
The VIN stickers are present on both fenders and hood. Probably not a repaint. That is a low mileage car.
Are you talking about the small wire from the ignition tumbler?
