Have you looked at swapping the MAP sensor? Outside of the things that you mentioned, although who can really ever rule out vac leaks.
I think that the most difficult portion that you will run into is finding the caliper BRACKET itself unless you've seen those lying around...
Calipers you can get anywhere. What you need though is the caliper and bracket; is that correct?

Absolutely no doubt. It takes like 3 times as much current when welding with 110. If they charged by the volt then it would be different. lol
