Did you get any comparitive times, on your, car stock AOD gears vs wide ratio gear set??

I do have the Granada discs, but several Stang'ers use the MS kit...
The Dang 351 would have been my first choice any way. 'specially as the Coug is heavier and has the room to acomodate, the slightly larger 351....
The fox body fender mounted solenoid has a diode in it to prevent the starter from "hanging". I copied Ford & replaced my fender mount solenoid...
The bellhousing on the AODE/4R70W's is 1in deeper, other than that they are externally the same.
DS 1in shorter & Tranny mount to accomodate.
Yes I'm using a Baumann TCS. Other than using different tailshaft housings(interchangable) and yokes, the AODE & 4R70W are essentially the same...
You might find yourself to be a ground breaker, doing a conversion rarely if ever attempted by anyone else.

I had to use RRJM adjustable mounts, to find the "sweet spot" for mounting my 1650's. Once there they're perfect. I was ready to commit mayhem...
With enough splinage remaining, you can cut or grind the .25 off. File bevel each spline end, good to go.
