if its a stock engine, compression test to make sure its strong enough for a turbo, if all is good there dont run any more than 6-9psi, personally...
FMU does nothing without boost, doesnt hurt to leave it there, wont hurt to take it out ethier, that car used to be boosted somehow and my guess...
timing could be a bit off, check that, should be and 10* with the plug pulled.
