Personally, I run 5W-20 Mobil 1.
The centering springs will 'break in' and it will become easier.
I don't think he was neccessarily talking about the failure of the crank persay. I would be more interested in having a forged unit that is balanced...

I would check the actual cabling to where it runs up thru the firewall, adjuster and all. Make sure that there are no binds in the cable to cause...
