Easy way is to just unplug the amp when you're not driving the car. If it still drains power then it's not that amp.
IMO, not worth it over what you have. While it will change your torque curve, I'd bet your car will be slower compared to what you have now.
Do you mean FRPP? Is it a roots or centrifugal? If it's a roots, I think it was a fairly small M90 Eaton unit. Not sure about the FRPP branded...
