    alright, I have a 96' gt, 5spd that has some worn out 3.27 gears in the 8.8 rearend. If put in 3.55 gears what kind of difference would I be looking at in driving characteristics. From what I understand I will lose some top end but it will pick up a little faster off the line. Not quite sure...

    05-06 rear into a 96

    I have a 96 gt and I need to get some work done on the rear end, the bearings are bad I believe. I found a rear end out of a 05/06 mustang that is a 8.8 and am curious if this can be a direct bolt in or if it will be more trouble then just replacing the bad stuff? Thanks Dan
