I have a wire kit for a 200 amp alternator. Should I mount it directly to the battery or screwed into the side of the fuse box that's next to the battery?
I use to take my Dad's Maxima in the Winter anytime it snowed but now he's using it daily so I feel bad taking it. One time I drove the Stang in all-season tires with light snow and it was a nightmare. Would it be useless to get snow tires? I probably won't drive in anything above 3 inches...
Lately I feel a vibration in the steering wheel at approximately 1800/1900 rpms. It won't have it at a lower rpm or higher rpm just 1800/1900. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks for the help.
Is it possible to overdrive an alternator too much? Does anyone know what the stock size alternator pulley is as well? I'm thinking of getting a 70mm pulley.
Advice needed on torque converter and stall speed.
My car is sitting in a tranny shop for the third time this year, very frustrating to say the least! This time the shop says my converter is not balanced causing vibrations in the car. So I'm thinking of just getting a new converter instead...
I just took out my Tokico blues/H&R sports and replaced them with FMS C springs/Bilsteins and the front is lower than my previous setup! The new setup hasn't even settled yet!
I'm thinking about the adjustable lowers from Maximum Motorsports but not sure about the upper ones. Should I go with the FMS upper with the stiffer bushings for the axle or go with the Steeda uppers that look like the stockers?
Anyone know how the ride is with FMS C springs & Tokico blues?
Right now I have H&R Sports with the Tokicos. The ride is ok now but I need more ground clearance with a deep tranny pan and catted x-pipe.
Today went horrible trying to install the x-pipe! First time a passenger side stud broke where it connects to the headers. So that had to be cut out and replaced. Everything seemed to go fine till the car was started and there was a huge leak. The x-pipe bolted on fine with my SLP catback but...
I'm sick and tired of inspection time every year here in NY so I'm thinking about making a switch. My current setup is MAC shortie headers, MAC ProChamber and SLP Catback. What can I expect, less hp and torque or will I not notice a difference? How will the car sound? Thanks.
I got mine today UPS and the place where I got it from did not use any packing! The parts bag was taped to the fuel pump and everything was shoved into a small white box and taped up. When UPS delivered the box it was beat up and the tape at one end was cut like someone had opened it to see what...
Recently I've read a few threads about the AODE shifting to neutral between the 2nd and 3rd gears when on the throttle hard. Ironically I started to get the same problem on my new tranny at the end of last week. The tranny would shift fine at normal to moderate throttle but at heavy throttle it...
Right now I've got MAC shorty headers, MAC Prochamber & MAC Catback. I really don't like the sound this setup makes (doesn't have the loud agression I'm looking for). What I'm looking for is the type sound I had with my 2 chamber Flows with the MAC headers and prochamber.
Should I go with the...
I was thinking of getting a package from Performance Distributors with the dyna module, cap, rotor, Screamin' Demon coil and Livewires. Are there any pros and cons to this setup? What other setups are good or better? Thanks.
