    79 with 130amp alt

    if i put a 130amp upgraded alternator do i need to unplug the voltage regulator thats on the harness. Is the new volt reg on the new alt?? I dont have the alt yet but planning the wires that are in this 4 cylinder harness.

    Brakes ATS brembos and drums

    ok so the car is a 1979 with a 1990 drivetrain, fuel tank, brakes etc put into the 79 i planned on putting the ATS brembos up front and just switch to the 5 lug drums in the rear...would this combo work? its just a bigger caliper added to the system right?? im upgrading to the cobra booster/mc...

    i need to know what size and length the rivits are on the bumper cover. i want to pick em up at hardware store. Also there are 6 studs that attach to the outer edge of the reinforcement panel to the bumper cover. where do i get them

    no start after warm-up

    well rebuilt 302 see sig on mods. car starts great,good idle, runs normal with a small slight miss nothing major. timing at 11*. when the car warms up it will not start. i replaced the TFI and the 130amp regulator cuz the alt. gets hot while the key is on is that normal? i pulled codes they were...

    how 2? test if eec is fried or working?

    well i converted to mass air ran great up till i turned it off. now wont start. went to start up for the timing after i burped the system. any way to test the eec if still working? :shrug:

    noticable smoke from one tailpipe?

    just rebuilt a 89 302 with E cam, ported E7s explorer intake and Tb runs kinda rough but stays running.set timing to 14. i get smoke from the pass side tailpipe. smells rich any ideas? Also i cant get a reading on my TPS. i get low power from the orange wire but no power from the green wire.

    starter hook-up?

    my 86 starter has 1 wire hookup but the mini starter i got from a ranger has 2 wire hookup with the solinoid on the starter . can someone explain how to hook this up? where does the little wire go?

    missing valve seals???

    bought a rebuild kit and i think that there are some valve seals are missing i got 16 of these black rubber peices and only 8 blue seals with the rings around it. do the 8 blue seals go only on intake side and the black ones over the intake and exhaust stems?

    NEED HELP swaybar mounting location

    well im putting on new swaybar brackets. mine broke off so... i need to know the location on the frame where they go. could someone go measure from the center of the square on the bracket to where the frame meets the core support.

    What is the ring-gap size for std 302?

    what size is it? and do you also file down the oil rings? :shrug: have not put a motor together in a long time. thanks for the help

    piston rings install???

    ok i got a 302 std size. hasting rings,one ring is square and the other is beveled which one goes on top. and also what is the size is the ring gap to be ? i got around .029 that correct?

    99-04 front & rear springs on FOX body?

    would they work on 86 gt? if so what would the ride hight be? And would the 04 tokico struts work as well? i have access to 99-04 mustang engine and suspension stuff at work but no FOX crap :mad:
