    Unable to clear engine code

    I'm working on an 89 mustang and it is giving me code 51 ( ECT is\was too high) but I can't get it cleared. I have left the battery off for a long enough time to clear the computer but the CEL stays on. there is an aftermarket temp gauge hooked could that be causing a problem. Any suggestions?

    I was looking at the t-5Z tranny for my stang and I called Ramchargers in Michigan for a price. The guy told me that the t-5 Z was actually made by liberty. Can anyone confirm this? I don't know if this guy was just making a sale or if ford actually outsourced this part? Any ideas?

    tranny out.......

    Well was able to take the tranny out of the stang last weekend. It went blew up in October last year. I guess I need a full rebuild and I found a piece of the output shaft stuck in the driveshaft yoke :( . Anybody have an ballpark of what this will cost me for a rebuild and a new output shaft?

    Removing trans quick Q

    I'll be removing my trans this weekend to get it rebuilt. I was just wondering if the motor will be Ok on just the mounts or should I find a way to support it. The trans will be out for over a week and I need to move my car out of the shop to work on other projects. Anyone have an idea :shrug:

    3.55 vs 3.73

    Ok this spring i plan on re-doing the rearend. I plan on going with a 31 spline trac-loc or eaton (undecided), hardened axles, Alum d/s. The question is 3.55 or 3.73's? I still drive the car alot but is there that much advantage w/ 3.73's vs. fuel mileage?
