    Cleaning parts in engine compartment

    I am looking for ideas to clean the alternator, intake manifold and other cast aluminum parts in the engine. I tried a concrete and driveway cleaner concentrate, but it is pretty corrosive. No rubber gloves were available....Brilliant!!! It does work however, but I thought maybe someone had...
