    Carlsbad show this Saturday morning?

    Carlsbad show next Saturday morning (April 30th)? Think I'll stop by around 9 for an hour or so to oogle all the exotics that show up there at the monthly get together by the outlet mall. It was quite a show last month.

    SD Stangers - Idea for our next GTG.....

    Check out this site for a go kart facility in Carlsbad. It's off of Palomar Airport Road by the airport (I think it's in the old Pinnfund building if anyone remembers that scandal a couple years ago). Looks like alot of fun. http://www.k1speed.com

    NE1 else going to the Reno Air Races next month?

    Sep. 16 - 19 Lots of static displays and various classes of air racing. The unlimiteds (mainly P51s, Bearcats, and Sea Furys) reach about 500mph 50-100 ft above the ground. The AF Thunderbirds performed last year and there was a low flyby by a B52. Here's some pics I took last year.

    San Diego cruise July 10th????

    Time for a new thread I guess. Submitted for consideration: Head out east on Hiway 76 to Lake Henshaw w/ stop at cafe there for late breakfast/early lunch. Then up to Palomar Observatory via eastside route (nice and curvy) and return via westside route to 76. I'd estimate about 4-5 hours...
