    4.6 Reliability?

    As strange as it sounds, I need a car for only the next 3-4 months. With that, Im looking @ a 99 GT coupe w/ 145K miles on it. Granted Im only going to have it for a few months....but how reliable are the 4.6's with that many miles???? Thanks in advance.

    Unbolting the stock catback?

    I've heard a few people who have said that they unbolted their stock catbacks for sound. I have the stock catback and want something a bit throatier until I get my exhaust swapped. What exactly does "unbolting the catback" entail? Thanks in advance.

    Tinted taillight question

    I want to get the tails tinted. I have an extra pair of taillights so I figured I'd just take those to where I got my windows done and have them tint them. Good idea or not? Are brighter bulbs needed or not?

    Tumble Port vs. Split Port

    Alright, my understanding is that the 96-98 4V heads are tumble port and the 99+ 4V heads are split port. First of all, is this correct? Second, whats the pro's and con's of each? :shrug:

    What sounds better?

    A 5.0, 4.6 2V, or a 4.6 DOHC? Lets assume all 3 have full exhaust (LT's, O/R mid pipe, and catback).

    How much do dealers try to rip you off? This much....

    So I tore up my rear end a few weeks ago and had it towed to Ford. $1500 for new bearings, stock gears, and labor. Just got my car back today from an independant mechanic. $425 for a completely new 8.8 tlok w/ 4.10's intalled. Holy **** does Ford ever try and rip the crap off of you :mad:
