What is correct paint scheme for 69 coupe side scoops?

Hi, Someone t-boned my 69 Coupe in January and I finally got the OK from the insurance company to have it fixed. As I remember the car when I bought it from the original owners, the side scoops had a black background with the body color for the test of the scoop. When I had it painted in...

Any experience with the American Racing 500 wheel?

My Magnum 500 wheels are getting pretty beat up and sad looking from close to 20 years of use. I saw mention of painted aluminum Mag 500 wheels from American Racing that come in 15" and 17" diameters. Does anyone have any first hand experience with these wheels that can comment on their look and...

    Hot air choke hookup question

Hi, I've got a 1969 Mustang with the original 302 engine sporting the factory autolite 2-barrel carb. Will my existing hot air choke tube coming off the exhaust manifold hook up to the Autolite 4100 without any modifications? Only if I use a vintage factory 4-barrel intake? Thanks! Chad

My experience with front disc brake conversion (discbrakeswap.com)

Hi, This post is to document my experiences with the SWAP1 kit from Dennis at Discbrakeswap.com. I put these on my 1969 Mustang Coupe that has the original 302-2v engine, C4, power steering, air conditioning and non-power drum brakes. I am also using 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels on 60 series BFG...

Intake and carb selection advice needed

Ok, I am throwing around the idea of taking off the stock 2-barrel cast iron intake manifold and hot-air choke 2-barrel autolite carb and replacing it with a modern aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrel vacuum secondary carburetor but have no idea what carb and intake to go with. Here are my...

    Shop Manual. Paper or electronic?

I think I am going to pick up a set of 1969 Ford shop manuals. I can get it electronically via download for around $17 or purchase a hard copy for around $60. Has anyone purchased shop manuals as an electronic copy? If so, what kind of quality are the scans? Are the diagrams easy to read? Am I...

What disc brake kit should I choose? SWAP.1 or SWAP.3 kit from discbrakeswap.com?

Hi, I have a 1969 Mustang Coupe, 302-2v, C4, manual drum brakes, power steering, AC, and 15" Magnum 500s. This was a daily driver for me from 1989 to 1996 and now sees a couple hundred miles a year. I just bought a front disc brake kit from Dennis and I was all set to go with the SWAP.3...

    Recommend an upholsterer in California?

I need to have the foam and seat covers redone on my 1969 Coupe. I'd attempt this myself but with two young kids at home, I don't get much free time. So, can anyone recommend an upholsterer in Northern California (hopefully) that I could take my seats, foam and upholstery to to have the seats...

Bought from TruDesign Wheel or heard of them before? OR where to buy Mag 500 wheels?

These guys sell a Magnum 500 wheel using an original center welded to a new steel rim. Good thing is the black center section is powder coated for better durability over painting. They also double chrome the wheels instead triple chrome plating. Not sure if that matters or not...

Why is my engine running rough?

After some prodding from others, I decided to take my 69 Coupe out of storage. It has been sitting for 10 months plus or minus. When I put it in storage, I filled the tank w/ 91 octane fuel and added fuel stabilizer. Now that I took it out it idles rough and doesn't have much power when you step...
