    Hey guys I have an 84' 351W block stock pistons gt-40 Y303 heads and cobra 1.72 roller rockers...Now what springs do I need for these heads ? also is there a certain valve I have to use? I know its 1.94 intake 1.60 exhaust anyone have part numbers for all this?

    Actually if you do a search of the 347 stroker there is a problem with the pin intersecting the ring and it does burn oil because of it but like I had said they may have now fixed it as this was a while ago

    very easy to replace as well the new one comes with torx bolts or snap-off bolts the old one is tamperproof torx so you gotta by a new socket or use needle nose pliers squeeze real tight and they will come out.

    I know on a 302 based 347 stroker the oil ring intersects with the piston pin slightly and causes the motor to burn oil,Though they where trying to find a fix for it I dont know if they ever did .or you could go with a 351W 393 stroker use a cleveland crank with the mains cut down stock 351W...

There was a chunk taken out inbetween 2 chambers the guy is going to fix that and he said the heads need to be resurfaced I think its a great deal and the guy is really nice ,If any of you northern NJ guys...

    Wait a second is it a stock oilpan or a moroso canton aftermarket type? If its aftermarket they say that it may not fit flush because of the welding on the pan you have to follow the torque sequence to pull it flush My moroso 351W swap pan was the same way even if it is stock it may have warped...

    yep heat sux its hot here and I make gas masks for a living so I stand in front of a 200 degree mold machine for 10 hours a day...wait a second that really sux:notnice:

    get the rubber one... the covers are the same with the exception of the fuel pump block off on 87 and up covers and the dipstick hole on the older covers

    Im using a 85 351W block the HO is a 4 barrel carb the non-HO is 2 barrel. all 302's and 351W's have a standard bore of 4.000" an overbore common when rebuilding an engine will need 4.030" ring set if you go 0.30" over on the boring of the cylinders
