    Engine Valve Cover Help

I had some old school Powered by Ford Ribbed ones but had to use a intake spacer, but they did not hit the alternator. Now on my 351w I went with a low mount alternator bracket and a carb EFI intake so not a problem. :p

95 GT getting Trickflow upper engine kit and more after 20 years parked, help required.

Would highly recommend doing a standalone, using the stock ECU with mail order tunes is very dated tech at this point. A cheap setup for our cars that is just going to be a driver and not a racecar is a Microsquirt PNP subtract the cost of a upgraded MAF too as you will no longer need it.

Was a big problem most people probably forgot about by now. Covered many models not just Mustangs too.

Maximum Motorsports Caster Plates on 98 Cobra

I'd bend the line up some and move on with life.. Get a bit of hose to cover any part that rubs if you like.

    230 MPH

Sounds very limited in any changes you can make, the only area that comes to mind is possibly better vending at rear of hood to help air escape but the large cowl is presumably open already on the rear to help? Can you do anything at all the vent air from behind the tires?

smog removal still not a thing?

You can easily delete it on a GT. If you have a Cobra the oil cooler water lines are in the way for a short belt so takes some other modifications.

Build Thread Project Phoenix (94 Cobra) Part 2

I drank a beer with a cigar Saturday and stared at it for awhile, it did not begin to assemble itself so no not yet. :O_o:

Which aftermarket cam is closest to stock drive-ability?

Crane 2041 drove fine with stock ECU for me but it is meant for GT40 heads/intake. Would be helpful if you posted your setup, and also most cams can drive fine with a tune.

Thoughts on using this setup on 351 build

People argue but it depends on tune, power adder, and I'm sure plenty of factors along with some luck. 450-550 IMO.

Thoughts on using this setup on 351 build

Lot's of good points. You can build a plenty nice 331 or 347 for the cost of all the extra must haves that come along with a 351w swap. The main reason IMO to go with the 351 is you are planning to get into 302 block splitting HP levels. If you aren't than IMO it is not worth all the trouble...

Thoughts on using this setup on 351 build

Sounds like a lot of work for a mild street setup. 75mm is fine but you can get a edlebrock 90mm if you really want. I'd highly suggest going straight to a aftermarket k-member.

To you all who have polished your intakes, brackets, etc.....

Other option to consider is after you polish the parts you can have them powder coated with a clear coat. Then you just maintain them like regular powder coat. (Soap/Wax/sealer)

LMR's customer service is top notch

Ya nothing public yet other than a sign on the door. Former employee told me they had locked the doors, and it had been coming for awhile. Few customer cars still locked in too.... Crappy deal.

LMR's customer service is top notch

DM did it to themselves but being close to both LMR has been better for last 15~ years. Know plenty of people around here who will make the trip down to pickup items.

Paint and Body Ceramic coatings on paint - who’s used what

I've used Chemical Guys and F11 top coat on the seedos/boat. Does help water bead off better than wax other than that can't say much, Wax/coat them once a year. Chemical guys goes on like wax, f11 is spray bottle and easier to apply.

03 Cobra wheels chrome vs polished

Polish wheels will be powder coat clear, very common and easy to up keep just like a painted wheel. Use Wax/Sealer no problem. Chrome is great as long as it is new soon as it gets oxidation or chipping it is done and not much you can do short of paying big $$$ to have it fixed. Personally...

    Ever seen a mid-engine fox?

Interesting build. A lot of trouble to move engine back, wonder what other updates they made to the suspension design.
