    Power steering pulley hard to turn?

    I was spinning the power steering pulley today and it really doesn't turn that easy.. I can compare it to turning the supercharger pulley over.. Is that normal even at low rpm? I can see that eating up all sorts of HP. I wonder if mine is bad..

    I found it! I could hear a hissing noise under the hood but couldn't find it. It wasn't until I was checking a ground connection on the power steering pump that I noticed a hose disconnected. I found where in plugs into on the wheel well and the thing idles great! Thanks for all your help...

    I got it all back together and it starts, but idles like it is missing.. I have these pending codes, p0355,0356,0357,0358 Coil circuit malfunction. Could I have messed up the timing or something to cause this?

    I am not a 4.6 guru at all, but I replaced the chains on wife's 4.6 I am having error codes regarding the coils, and noticed I am missing this part on the right bank. Can you tell me what it does? (My mustang has plug wires :) )

    I will prob have to pull the pan.. I checked and I have 4 tensioners, the 2 curved ones match perfectly, but then I have these 2. Is that for the wrong engine? I didn't get 6.

    If you look at the pic of the left side of the engine, that is exactly how it was when I pulled the cover off.. The tensioner is gone and all I had were plastic parts everywhere

    Ine of the tensioners is plastic and the other is metal with plastic on it. The chain also wore on the cover. I'll post a pic when I get home. I assume I should order new valve cover gaskets and the front cover gaskets?

    I got the cover off, and the tensioner on the left side that is all plastic is gone. I found pieces all over inside the cover. I Didn't realize there would be carnage like that.

    Got the pump off, and that last bolt was a pain :) I am now wrestling with the harmonic balancer.. I don't think my cheap HF puller is up to the task..That or it is not pulling it perfectly centered. I may end up renting a puller from AZ hoping it is better quality. To keep the thing...
