    i had GT ones off my 68 that were in great condition...and i couldn't even give them away....ive been trying for about a year and a half and only one person has offered to take them for free if i dropped them off at their house...so i said forget that, i will just put them on when i paint my car...

    its gonna be huge pain in the ass to do it with the engine in there but i guess it can be done by cleaning it all up by hand and the spraying paint but id really just wait and do it the right way. cherry pickers arent that much...and could be rented. might even wanna try craigslist...hey you...

    how much did it cost for you guys to get these welded on? I can weld but i doubt my little flux welder has the juice to get these welded on good enough so im just curious.

    you tack all the way around...and keep tacking until its all tacked on....then fill in any little holes you missed....

    stripping paint

    get an abrasive disc and put it on a 4 1/2" angle grinder and that will strip paint filler, and anything else to bare metal in about 2 seconds. aircraft stripper is the biggest joke i have ever tried....what a mess.....didn't take barely anything off....don't even bother.
