why not just carefully pull the vents from the original cage by getting a flat screw driver and carefully working each end out then with both vents out grab onto the center of the vent cage and pull, if it's still stubborn while pulling on the center section lift up on the 8 tabs that hold it...

Need some input ... i'm currently in the market for a 331 stroker , not sure if i want to a short block or just go with the long block with AFR 185 heads , either way would the stock cobra intake (upper and lower) be OK for this set up or should i invest in something else - my future plans...

a vehicle with a factory amp uses what's called "line level input" which is the speaker output so YES you use the amp in the HU ... BUT keep this is mind .. the output they claim is usually the PEAK power output which means you get this at the amps very best it may happen once and never again...

one other thing you can do is run a wire ( same AWG as power ) directly to the negative terminal of your battery. that will eliminate any ground continuity issues
