Thanks, I'm not sure if California uses ethanol or not in out "winter gas" like other states. Could bad gas (old gas that has been sitting too long) cause a fuel pump failure?

Can fuel pumps go bad from just sitting too long w/o the car being started?

Well it turns out that it was the fuel pump, I'm not sure why it was bad, it was less than two years old. I replaced it with a NAPA one and it appears to be much better quality than the one that I had on there but it was a little pricey.

Ok here's the deal, I have a 65 that pretty much just sits in my garage which I start and let it run or even drive a few times a year. Last year I had to replace the fuel pump because the car wouldn't start and that solved my problem. Well the car hasn't been started for about 4 months and now...

The back was a larger hose, I don't have power brakes so that may be why it was capped off.

I'm asking for this becuase I just started working on the car and noticed that the distributor vacuum advance line was missing which I fixed. There is another vacuum line that was capped off behind the carb, I was wondering if there was anything else.

Where can I find a vacuum line schematic for a 1965 (289)? Thanks.

Is rear sag a common problem with 65's? I'm getting ready to start rebuilding the suspension and was curious what rear leaf springs / shocks I should go with for a stock ride height. I did do a search but mostly found stuff for lowering...
