    MIL Question

I have a 1996 Mustang GT and have cut 4 of the 6 catalytic converters off of the exhaust. I put on a set of MIL eliminators when I did this, but have recently started getting a check engine light that comes on for a while and then goes off again. I went to Auto Zone the other day and the codes...

    need a guy's opinion/advice

Sweetheart, just go down to your local muffler shop and have them put the pipe on for you. I was quoted a price of $75.00 to install a new H-Pipe, so you'd save yourself the cost of a jack and a couple of hours under your car. If your husband doesn't like it, tell him to grow up! I agree with...

    speeding ticket

And people like you wonder WHY they got a ticket....geeeezzzzz :notnice: I wonder if you would feel the same way if an officer saved your mom, girlfriend or wife from getting sexually assaulted by some creep...

    speeding ticket

First of all, hoping that the cop doesn't show up for court will be in vain...All officers are "required" to show up for court or they will be disciplined with days off without pay. Second, the officer does NOT have to show the radar to someone if they request to see it. It is the...

who else has dinged there rim!!!!

For you guys who have "dinged" a wheel and want to get it repaired by a reputable company, check out this place http://fixrim.com/index.htm they do excellent work and are sometimes more reasonable than buying a new wheel.

    Running lights on '97 GT-question

That's why they call them "FOG" lights.....Fog lights are designed in such a way that the light is not reflected off of the fog and back into the driver's eyes. If you want bright lights that you can actually see, you need "DRIVING" lights.

Rear fascia on 98? Need opinions

Vinyl would never work...too many compound curves around the license plate...you'd never get it to look right without wrinkles.

Where does this bolt go? =)

Looks more like a bolt for a strut brace to me

    How to change fog light

Should be two wires going to each light on the back into a socket. Just turn the socket about 1/4 of a turn and then it'll pop right out of the light itself. When you replace the bulb, do NOT touch it with your bare fingers as any oil from your fingers will shorten the bulb life.

    99gt with 101k????

I've got you all beat! 96 GT with 170,000 miles. Runs like a top and drives like a dream...of course, when I first bought it, the person that had it before had ruined the suspension and drive train...had to replace driveshaft, transmission mount, rear axle, rear upper control arms and...

local member has his 07 gt500

Looks like Butterscotch on wheels.... I love the car itself, I can't believe that Ford did away with the C Scoops in the body for one, and couldn't find a way to have the gas cap in the back like the old ones. They say they did it their way because of trunk access issues, but nobody uses the...

i am new -- please give some info.

mis-information This information is not entirely correct...I have a 96 GT and it has non-pi heads and intake and it has the aluminum water jacket on the front. The only true way to tell by simply looking at the intake is the runners....if the front runner goes to the passenger side, it's a...

    What is this?? Why Leaking??

Start Simple First of all, everyone keeps saying "thermostat gasket"...actually, the Mustang uses a large O-Ring instead of a gasket to seal the thermostat. They are only a couple of bucks at Auto Zone or Oreilly's. Second, I'd replace the spring type hose clamp with a worm gear type hose...

    buying a 96' gt-opinions needed

Well, I have a 96 GT that I bought 2 1/2 years ago and have been pouring money into it ever since...the body and interior was in good shape, but the previous owner had dogged the suspension to death...The motor now has over 169,000 miles on it and it is still strong. I actually love the car and...

    Bullit Pedals - oops

Replacing Bullit Pedals I recently put a set of Bullit Pedals on my 96 GT, and thought I was going to boil them away in hot water trying to get them pliable enough to put them on, and they still weren't going on. I finally put a VERY SMALL dab of wheel bearing grease on the inner lip of the...
