What is the biggest tire that will fit on my 94 gt?

I had that setup on my car, as do alot of guys on here. On mine the tire would just touch the front sway bar at full lock, but it never bothered me. Nothing a $10 set of rack limiters can't fix. Out back, my passenger side tire would rub the fender lip if I had any passengers with me (car...

Update the pic and job/hobby thread!!!

I used to be an avid poster on here, but haven't been around for nearly 8 months since I sold the car. I'm (thankfully still) working as a Metallurgical Engineer at a consulting firm specializing in mining EPCM projects. About 90 people got laid-off just after the holidays, but things seemed to...

Car & Owner Pic Thread: Post Away

I'm back from the dead! well not really... Alot has happened since I last posted on this thread, and on Stangnet for that matter. I haven't checked-in here since last summer, but randomly felt compelled to see what you guys are up to these days. I've been out of the game since last july...

    water pump gasket

I replaced my WP last fall, not hard to do. I left the fan and rad in place, just removed the pulley to get at the bolts. Its easy, just leave the belt on so you can crack the 4 bolts loose without it turning. Once the bolts are off you can take the belt off. The pulley is sort of a press-fit...

    Photo Request of clear foglights

I put clear fogs on my car a couple summers ago, install is not a big deal (just a bit tight behind the bumper) and I paid something like $45 shipped from ebay IIRC. As with any aftermarket lense, take the time to apply a beed of silicone around the assembled joint, and they should remain dry...

Are the springs too tall or the tires too small?

I used to have 255/45's on the front when I had my 17x8 '98 Cobras, and the slightly higher sidewall closed up the gap without loosing ground clearance. And the sidewall difference between the front and back tires isn't noticable, even after staring at it for a prolonged period of time. Plus the...

    Car "skipping" WOT ?

I've had that problem off and on for over 2 years now, annoying as hell. It idles smoothly and drives fine under low throttle, but once I give'er, it deffinetly lacks power and sounds like its running on 7 or less cylinders. I changed wires and plugs twice so far, new coil and new distributor...

    curse of the black mustang

Man, I hate when the car decides to take a dump on me. Well, I guess sometimes I deserve it, knowing how much I usually punish it on the back-roads and local track. Not to mention those potholes... For the startup high-idle, try cleaning your IAC valve and inside the TB. Did the trick for me...

    Airbag Code 32

Code 32 indicates that the problem still exists (hard code). When the problem is no longer there (fixed), 40 will be added to the code (in your case, 72), which is a soft code. Only then can you clear the code. A hard code cannot be cleared from the computer until the problem no longer exists.

    Anyone ever change e-brake cables?

Thanks for the helpful hints guys, I think I have a clear idea of what I'm gonna face when I tear it apart. I also noticed before that the rear part of the cables go from the drive-shaft well, into the body, turn outward, and come back out again near the lower control arms. Is that going to be a...

    Anyone ever change e-brake cables?

I will also note that the lever was just as difficult to pull when the cables were disconnected from the calipers than when they were connected. So I'm pretty sure they are the problem. Could it be the crank mechanism? I don't see how...
