    Squeeky Brakes

    My brakes squeak when they're cold; for instance, when I first back out of the garage in the morning. After that, I don't notice it. I've read some of the newer materials used for brake pads are prone to squeaking. Good luck.

    You're thinking of the California Special, that's a 2007 offering and I believe they'll start with a GT platform. I think you're correct about it being similar to a "Stampede Edition" although the 2006 California Edition is built on a V-6 platform. I was looking at a used V-6 Mustang but...

    The only problem I have with my Corvette is the "Corvette tax". I swear, parts are about twice as expensive. The one saving grace is if you can do some of your own work. At least the Mustang is new and has a 3 year, 36K waranty. Good luck with your rides.... :nice:

    Congrats on your purchase. I have my newly purchased '06 California Edition Mustang and a '92 LT1 polo green with a 6 speed. It's kind of fun owning two true American icons. :flag:

    Jacking Points on a 2006 Mustang

    I was reading in the owner's manual that FoMoCo says to not jack up the rear of the car using the rear axle diff. housing. Is it because the rear axle housing isn't strong enough or is it purely a safety thing? Also, are there other jacking points besides the 4 shown in the owner's manual...
