    2005 GT Premium - 5k miles - mint

You regularly purchase brand new cars off the lot at sticker price and sell them 5 years later after a new body and drivetrain have been introduced for the same price as a new one? Sounds like you have a nice car, but your expectations are really high.

    $300 for a set of GT40 heads...good/bad

If the intake bolt broke off in the head, just drill a small hole in the bolt and use it to turn the bolt out. Sometimes you can also cut a notch in the bolt and turn it out with a screwdriver. Try to save the threads in the head if at all possible. Grant

    Post Your Cabernet Red Fox

I assume this color is Cabernet Red? My friend is looking to buy this car, and I am curious if this color has potential. Show me that it does, and post some pictures of your cabernet red fox. Grant

    Should i get this welder?!?!?!

I would pass on that welder. Here is the one you need to get. It isn't 220v but it is a smokin' deal on a hell of a welder. Reconditioned Hobart Handler 140-$400 These are rebadged Millers(minus the infinite voltage). You are correct on the wire, .023 solid when using C25 gas. This HH140 is...

    Info on some fiberglass parts

I made a sheetmetal R model valance for my '66. If you are interested in directions, I can help. If you aren't equipped, or capable, I could probably fab one up. Just a thought since those 'glass ones are A) inferior material, B) don't fit and C) are expensive. Here is a link to how it was made...

Anyone running 2.5" exhaust through a 65-66 GT style valence?

So the SS Magnaflow system WILL fit a GT valance? I always saw the tips on those systems installed below the valance, not in it. If it fits, I'll buy one. Grant

If your gonna buy a welder buy this one (pic)

The sp175+ is Lincoln's better 220 volt 175A class machine. It has the infinite voltage control, not taps. You can pick one of these up new on ebay for $750. Not knocking your machine, just informing others. There is also the Millermatic 175 if you prefer Miller. The Hobart 180 is also a decent...

    G.T.350 R Front Apron Dimensions

Hi all, I am looking for some dimensions of a GT350R model front apron. If anyone has the street model, which accepts the bumper, and would be kind enough to take some measurements for me I would really appreciate it. Here are the 5 measurements that I need taken. All are measurements of the...

    welder suggestions...

Easily misunderstood, but no, I meant 110 amp. It has a 90 amp and 110 amp switch for thicker material. When the original poster was asking about a Hobart 140, that was a 140 amp welder, see? Maybe 110 just got you confused but all these numbers we have been throwing around have been in...

    welder suggestions...

I have been using a Snap-On 110 amp welder for the last few days and it has the reostat voltage control. I must admit that it is nice to have although you can tune the other welders in with the wire feed and correct voltage tap. With this setup you don't have to know the welder that well. You...

    welder suggestions...

These are the two best deals on the internet in my opinion. If I get a new welder it will be one of these two... New Miller 135 for $584 shipped Reconditioned Hobart 140 for $401 shipped The 180 is also a good deal. I have done a lot of searching and these seem to be the best. I have...

    Cutting tools.

Pneumatic cut-off tool. You can't get the same precision with the others(except plasma). The cut-off wheel gives you a nice clean line to measure from for butt welding. If you aren't butt welding then you can just hack it with whatever, it doesn't matter. +2 on the good spot weld removing bits...

    welder suggestions...

That is a very nice machine, good choice. A Hobart IS a Miller with a different colored case and a plastic drive roller instead of aluminum. All other drive rollers are plastic anyway so I really don't see the problem. The Miller also has what is called a reo-stat controlled voltage allowing an...

Any Young Mustang owners out there??????

67Dave289, I appreciate the concern. While disassembling the car my dad and I inspected the brake lines. This car is undergoing a complete restoration so we fully expected the hard lines to need replacing. To our surprise they were in very good condition without and corrosion or rust. They...

    8.8" vs 9"

Off topic but sort of on... A local guy is offering a posi 9" with 3.00 gears for $150. I am sure I could talk him down. Seems like a good price, is it? Too bad I don't have the money for a rear right now...

Cost to Repair Floor, pans & trunkI

Yes, if they do quality work. That is ALOT of work as the "new" pieces you are providing are nowhere near a perfect fit. So yea, that is a decent price.

Any Young Mustang owners out there??????

I don't actually own a Mustang but am restoring one. I have been learning the hobby since I was 13 and am now 17. The repaint of my dad's '68 coupe is what got me interested. This snowballed into full sheet metal fabrication and bodywork on a '49 Ford, a '64 T-bolt Fairlane clone, and '28 Model...
