I used the fusion paint on my mirrors. It is holding up well so far. No fading or chips. Been on there for 2 years now.

I just did mine on a 79 I believe the 86 is similar. Theres a small trim screw behind the mirror, remove the mirror, the screw in the trim, and the black or stainless just pops up with some gentle prying. I then removed the dew wipe from my trim and replaced it with the new dew wipe rubber only.

Lokar makes the only kit that i know of to correctly connect a AOD to a carb.( KD-2AODHT) there may be others. I believe no matter how you set it up the TV and accel cables need to move the same all the time. Maybe this link can help explain? http://www.shockley.net/Holley-AOD.asp

How long has she had it ? Did it drive normally at one time? NKau is right about the TV cable. If it's not adjusted correctly the trans will not live very long.
