Saprk plug wires, These good ?

Had a set of the FRP 9mm gave them aways. Had a bad boot on the distributor end on a wire, brand new out of the box. Was not impressed by thier quality much, due to that shocking experience heh. Went to the Taylor spiro-pro after that. Like them better than the FR 9mm one so far. Been searching...

Been getting interested in gauge setups, for my car lately. What meters etc are in some of you're favorite setups ? Think it would be good to know more info about what is available as options. miss/sputtering

I would reccommend the Spectre Seal-4-Good , from Autozone , have one on my passenger side header . Has some special dead soft aluminum in it.Copper one would just not get sealed there. Lean towards the MAF , think you should try a different one after you eliminate the positioning of MAF (like...

Oh my...

Ping at idle , due to plug heat range or something else?

Ping @ Idle fixed at last !!! OK folks back to engine basics here , on a mass air flow system when air flow is less, you're engine gets less fuel, right? My ping at idle and near stallouts are due to inadequacies in the Stock IAC(Too slow to change maybe?) and my custom cam. Just had to open up...

Putting a Stop to Oil Consumption through the PCV Valve

Not 100% sure this is the case in a non stock , high revving engine(this engine pulls past 6,000 RPM ). Believe my engine has bad oil splashes, When seal (grommet) not working good, got lots of oil on firewall back. If this was just a mist, why was there so much oil, in so short a period of...

Putting a Stop to Oil Consumption through the PCV Valve

1.Don't get a full insert on my pcv grommet, due to my blocking washer modification on pcv screen. 2. Another contributing factor is height and motor movement. The hose from top of can did rub on the hood a bit. Causing extra wear from motor twist . New setup has less height, so hose will...

Putting a Stop to Oil Consumption through the PCV Valve

Report , update on highrise pvc stage II The wire mesh in the can, definitely seems to help on reducing oil in TB. Another problem is the added weight of the mesh + (oil accumulated in the mesh guess) has led to the wearing out of my pcv grommet. Working on eliminating the pcv grommet. Have a...

    EGR spacer hookup ,question

My last mechanic deleted my EGR spacer hoses. Been trying to figure out, where the hookups are. Found the one for side towards front of car. On the one for firewall side , theres no sign of anything to hook up too. Looking at the Hayes book it appears there is supposed to be a small pipe coming...
