yeh mine did that.. was a bad maf... unplugged it.. and it actually ran better... got power back.. replaced it and has run fine ever since.

Unplug your mass air meter... if it gains alot of HP/torque you have a bad mass air meter.... mine just did this and we had been chasing it for 3 months... DO NOT RUN CAR UNPLUGGED FOR VERY LONG just check and if performance gets better unplugged its a bad sensor. (it will run crappy around...

Ok.. after reading this I foudn me and him are having somewhat the same issues.. my car was having horrendous performace.. i found that i had a bad mass air meter so we replaced that and boom horsepower... now though im popping 564 - Electro-Drive Fan circuit failure and the car is getting hot...

man and here I am wanting to go the otherway.. the freaking AOD drives me insane.. no pick up and go and a mega loss of HP/torque.. cannot stand not having a manual in this stang.. too bad we arnt close we could swap across the 2 cars LOL..

well if you lived here in texas you wouldnt have to worry.. our winter is most places spring... lows in the 30s to 50s lol =) I drive mine year round.

Wow not very encouraging news for me here... this is pretty much how I was gonna do mine... my old GT ran 12.90s with that same configuration... and the 95 GT vert still feels gutless after all those mods and the new 3:73s? wow... beginning to wonder if this car was worth it to a guy like...

Do you have any idea how rare these are getting in any kind of condition? do not sell the 5.0 get rid of the slow heavy one... I was looking for one of these in just "OK" shape... with 9k in my pocket... the only nocts you can find are trashed (and i mean REALLY trashed) or mint highly...

yup just make sure you keep your FPR and adjust it for stock pressure. I always do a regulator and a upgraded pump even on stock cars

Havent seen them yet... since I'm working with a bone stock car and alot of mods to be made would be interested in cheap good stuff here as well.. I have always used Mac in the past with all my stangs though.

lol... my thoughts were the same... Not like Fords needed any help killing stock AODs LOL they do just fine on thier own :shock:

well bro look at it this way...MORE Money to spend on the stang... and noone to nag you about it.. Girls come and go... a Stang is forever... treat her to some new heads or a blower... nothing says I love you stang like some BOOST! :)

not sure have you changed the Plugs the cap and the rotor as well as checked the coil? almost sounds like a spark issue.. heh.. i dont think my 5.0 vert can spin them even with a neut drop LOL.. man this is one heavy slow car without a 5 speed... i hope I can breathe some life into this...

I dunno how well y'alls 4.6s run with dumps.. but 5.0s need backpressure and actually lose horsepower with dumps.. definalty do not recommend them.. go with a good set of Mac 2.5 tails

oh... man I forgot all about tranny coolers... this car is the first AOD I've ever had... very lackluster performance coming from 5 speed 5.0s.. and Bikes... id love to hear how much a cooler costs... becasue with this AOD im looking at gears/Shift Kit/Stall Converter combo to get a little...
