    Anyone know where I can view a wiring diagram for the steering column? I am rewiring my 68 coupe and the universal that i have (EZ2Wire) is a good enough item to use, but it uses a whole different set of color coding. Their diagrams and my chilton book don't have anything on the color codes...

    Voltage Reg Pic Here is what I'm talking about The only wire going from the regulator back through to the under dash area is the alternator excitor. I still don't have a clue on what attaches to that "pig tail" just above the regulator.. Thanks for all the replies... :flag:

    Quick Rewiring ?

    In the old cabling, the color was yellow with a green stripe (if I remember right, I am at work). This basically went directly from the voltage regulator to the chasis, with what looks like a resistor casing in between (the tube I have shown in text).
