did a reverse to standard water pump swap, now having cooling issues?

If they asked what your car was they probably tried to "correct" your "error" and sent you a 5.0 Mustang pump thinking you don't know what you are doing or asking for. Get pump for a 5.0 Crown, Grand Marquis or Town Car. Should solve the problem. Also, judging from your picture your smooth...

I see that the hood has a subtle but definite bulge in the middle. Wonder what is under it.

    3.73s=increase in MPG?

I have a 116,000 mile '98 GT. It is 99% the same as it left Ford in 1998. Including plugs, wires fuel filter and even the air filter I think. The only thing not stock is the MagnaFlow cat-back and UPR shifter. About a month ago I drove it to Carlisle, PA and back. It's about 240 miles down and...

5.0M/SF tests the Trick Flow intake

But you get more below and above that point. And that measn more average power available. How much time do you spend in that small power window vs the rest of the power range? Not much. I bet it would be faster despite giving up a little peak torque.

DONT BUY CHEAP ROLLER ROCKERS!...Here's Why..(pics)

Crane 1.7 bolt downs are FRPP Cobra rockers. My brother bought a set of crane rockers from Ford. They arrived in a Crane box with a corresponding Crane part number, but has a Ford ocal and part number stamped on them. Crane makes cams and rocker arms for Ford.

5.0M/SF tests the Trick Flow intake

No one has posted the average numbers. More importent than any peak number changes is the average power available over the usable rpm range. In the graph you can see that the horsepower and the torque curves are much smoother. That seems to indicate to me a high average of both hp and torque...

    Flooded Cobra

If it's classified as a "totaled due to flooding" car by an insurance company...it can never be titled for street use again in the US (might want to look into this for Canada to see if it's the same). Might make a great donor for a good chassis though.

    gears t-5 2.95 vs. 3.??

    First, it's a 2.95 Z-Spec or a 3.35 in a T5 unless it's a 4cylinder box. As for what axle gears with a 2.95 box....anything less than 4.10's is a waste. 4.10's behind a 2.95 geared T5 will give sligthly less overall 1st (a good thing IMO, but many will disagree) but more 2nd, 3rd and 4th than...

    squeeky front?

Check you ball joints. I searched for a squeek like the one you describe and found it to be a dry ball joint.

    What gears?

If you had an 8.8" you could get 3.91's but with the 7.5" you go from 3.73 to 4.10's.

    f303 0r b303 camshaft ?

Qualify "better". The TF1 cam does have more lift and that's an advantage. Equalize the lift and run two identicle tests (and I mean scientificly valid tests) with the same engine under the same operation conditions and I am possitive the differences will be so small that the actual...

    f303 0r b303 camshaft ?

Close?!?! 1 to 2 degrees is REAL F'n close. Advertised durations mean exactly nothing. Useful durations are done at .050" and at .050" we have 224/224 vs 221/225. Also pretty G.D. close. Lobe seperation? 112 for FRPP and let's see...oh wow....112 for TF too. The only decernable difference is...

Pros and Cons of a 393 stroker

The 393 stroker uses 302 pistons and they do not place the oil control ring land in the piston pin bore. There are no cons to a 393 or even a 408. My brother has a 418W and it's piston pin is not even in the oil control ring land. He's had exactly zero oil control issues.

    f303 0r b303 camshaft ?

The X303 and the B303 camshafts have the EXACT same timing events. The ONLY difference is the lift. The B303 is ground with .300" lift at the cam on both the intake and the exhaust. The X303 is ground with .339" lift on both the intake and the exhaust. The TrickFow Stage 1 camshaft is...
