with some of the wilder cams where idle quality becomes an issue, the iac can have trouble smoothing out the idle due to the natural lope of the cam. hence, surging idle.

if you have a hot cam it can change low speed driveability as well.

waaay too much intake for the stock motor. with my smaller cobra intake on the stock heads I gained 11hp at the peaks (5200rpm), but lost power everywhere below 4000rpm. More importantly, I lost average power. With that larger intake things will be less than optimal.

i actually just ordered some ford racing 6.272 pushrods from summit. They don't list them anywhere that I could find, but if you call em up they can find them. Not a bad price either.

ignition is totally stock except for wires and cap n rotor. Timing for the run was set at 18* advanced Additionally, no tuning of any kind was performed on the computer, fuel pressure or the timing. So I'm betting theres still some more left in this combo.

yeah i'm ecstatic with the way the car sounds (its a TON louder) and drives :D . 1st gear is acrazy violent pul. I'm shocked that my 275 kuhmo rears can keep up. Did all the work myself too so that was very nerveracking and when it started ran fine very rewarding. Can't wait to get some tuning...
