    225/60R15 on a '65 vert?

If the wheels are 6" wide, they may (barely) fit. If wider, they won't.

I'm curious how you determined that your foam lasts 93% longer :D

    8.8 rear end in a 65 mustang

IIRC, when narrowing the long side of an Explorer axle (so that the pinion becomes centered), it will end up being around 59" wide (proper width for 67-68) or two inch two wide on a 65-66, which off course can be compensated with large offset late model wheels. I'm going from memory here, so I'm...

A real GT??? Will the real GT please step forward???

So, basically, what is weird is that it has dual exhaust type body reinforcements on a car (non GT A code) that was not available with dual exhaust, right? Is there still anything left of a dual exhaust system? BTW, the handling package sway bar (part of the GT package) had a 13/16" diameter...

any body ever try this company and disc brake kit?

The calipers are probably fine, but the bracket doesn't look very convincing. At least, from what I can judge from the picture. I'd go with a kit from CSRP. Not very expensive and they're Ford kits.

    mustang II spindles

I don't remember exactly how much the UBJ moved inwards, due to the increased KPI, but it was a small amount and is probably within the adjustability range of the suspension (either removing shims from the upper arm for 65-66 or moving the LCA inner pivot outward).

    shock absorber selection

Some vintage racers commented that they're great and make a big difference over regular Konis. Of course, they should be at four times the price of an already expensive standard Koni.......

1965 289 exhaust header vs HIPO manifold

I haven't seen any either. I was just curious if you maybe you had some personal before/after experience.

1965 289 exhaust header vs HIPO manifold

Although they're no comparison, did you compare them to the stock ones anyway in a back to back test? No criticism, just curious. I know they look much more streamlined, but I'm curious how much of a difference they make. I guess enough for Ford to bother with them. On the other hand...

    mustang II spindles

Mustang II spindles are front steer (steering arms point forward) and can consequently not be used on classic Mustangs (unless you don't care about weird steering geometry) The Wilwood spindle is a possible candidate, since it uses bolt on steering arm, but unfortenately the steering arm...

    shock absorber selection

I would need to look up the instructions to be sure but I don't think the standard Koni setting is full soft, but somewhere in the middle. Whether you consider the adjustability a cure for wear or a possibility for tuning doesn't really matter. It can be used for both. I've been at the Koni...

    shock absorber selection

I don't have personal experience with KYB's but many say that they're really harsh. I use Konis myself, which I like, but other than a pair of worn out Midas replacements, I don't really have anything to compare them with. IIRC, the cutting of one coil, as mentioned in the Boss book, applies...

POSSIBLE CPP SUSPENSION FRONT BALL JOINT FIX.

Granada and 1970 and up spindles use the same ball joints as 65-69. I've had both on my Mustang and neither of them required a spacer. I just looked at the instructions for TCP and Global West arms and they also require a spacer. I assume all these arms use the Moog K772 type screw in ball...

Tell me about Copper Nickel brake lines

I just replaced mine with copper nickel. I chose copper nickel over pure copper, which is common here in Europe, mainly because I think it looks better (more like factory lines). Flaring was not a success with the simple tool I used initially, similar to this one: Flaring tool It put on a...

    Bumpsteer inexpensive solution ideas??

I didn't know they sold them with 11/16" shanks. Judging from the description they're not too common: "Every once in a while someone wants to use a rod end in place of a 11/16" tie rod. We listened to the requests and built them with 11/16"-18 RH or LH thread and accept a 5/8" thru-bolt. "...

    Bumpsteer inexpensive solution ideas??

I'm not sure if that's the only purpose of the taper. It also ensures that there's no slop. That can of course be achieved by reaming the hole so that the bolt fits in there without slop, like you described. Assuming that you own or can borrow a reamer of course.

    Bumpsteer inexpensive solution ideas??

Adjusting the steering box and/or PS may have improved your steering (by reducing slop), but that didn't affect bumpsteer in any way. Bumpsteer is when the wheels steer when they go up and down (i.e. when the suspension moves). That can only be solved by correcting the geometry, which in...

65-70 spindle flaming river rack granada spindles

Using 1970 spindles is no problem. They use larger bearings, but the good thing is that the bearing OD is identical as the earlier ones. You just need to buy bearings for a 1970 Mustang (A12 and A13 for inner and outer) and use them instead, including the races. That being said, I would...

    power steering box

Maybe the frame side clutch linkage pivot can be moved towards the engine? I think you could shorten the tube of the equalizer shaft and make a new bracket with the pivot point further towards the engine, out of the way from the hoses. You could use the same frame holes as the original...
