If it is the wire gauze plug I think you talking about, a good soak in kerosene should make it new again. Worked just fine for me.

I have seen conflicting info about these. I am pretty sure they are 24lbs...so they should work in an 89 GT just fine with a properly calibrated MAF, right? Some say they came out of a DOHC 4.6, some say 7.5L trucks. As long as they'll work I'm happy.

Does anyone know what the "best" computer to use in a speed density to mass air swap is? I have been told that A9l and A9P are both good. I have also been told that the A9P was originally in automatics and has less timing than 5 spd versions. Confusing!

I have an opportunity to get a set of AFR 185's for cheap. I planned to do a performance buildup on my 88 GT anyways (intake, cam, headers, gear) but originally with AFR 165's. I would like to get the 185's since they are such a deal, but what would be a good package to go with these heads...
