    Convertible Latch Adjustment

I have to be honest and say that I haven't had that car in over 10 years now, and that was the last time I owned a convertible anything. I couldn't even remember my user name or password to log back in so I had to reset to reply lol. I can't really remember what all I did back then, but there...

02 GT throwing several codes, #8 fuse

I'm too lazy to look it up. What were the other codes? Also, make sure that splice is solid and didn't come loose.

    brakes on a 94 mustang

Does the 94 still run? Just curious what she is going to do for brakes. If it were me, I would convert the fox, drop a 5.0 in the 94, and go have some fun.

    Steering Wheel Shake

Several things: Are they the right size tires, have a good alignment, are the rims still true, and do you notice it all the time or only when you brake? If only during braking, check your rotors. If the car does it all the time and didn't before the new tires, something they did isn't done...

    air bag help!!!!

I don't know about that one. I would call whoever does the testing and ask them before any inspection. I wouldn't think it would matter though, as long as the emission systems operate functionally. Is the CEL on too? That sucks about your Stang....sorry to hear it.

    air bag help!!!!

That was all you had to say? So maybe I'm wrong but you offer that and nothing else to help the poster? For just accumulating post counts, you deserve it more than I do:rlaugh: :stupid:

Sure he will. Take the gauge cluster out, remove all the trim screws holding the gauge faces and take the bulb out.

    Heater Core...

Yeah that is unfortunate. I do all my own stuff but I would stay away from someone who would only honor their work for a whopping three months. It doesn't sound like he has too much confidence in his repair quality, especially a heater core change out, or, he half asses it so you have to come...

    Vibration and metal noise

If it makes you feel somewhat better, get under the front of the car and check the suspension components to see if there is anything immediately obvious that has damage starting. Check the rubber boots around the tie rod ends, ball joints, and check the rack and pinion. Look up at the power...

    Heater Core...

Three month warranty my ass!! I would get a second opinion from another source. Maybe his labor is guaranteed for three months but I bet the part itself is much longer, probably around a year, and that warranty is for defects in craftsmanship. I would find out from another source whether the...

    Stangs totaled

Yeah you should get book value for the car. If you don't like the initial offer and have pics of it to prove excellent condition, send the pics to your insurance agent and sometimes they will get you more money. If it were me, I would buy it back from the insurance company and part it out. I...

    o2 sensor install help

Taking the exhaust off is more steps than necessary and doesn't get it done faster. Break or strip a rusty bolt and it's all over before it began. It takes less than 15 to 20 minutes to drop the starter and replace the o2.

    o2 sensor install help

I've done it both ways. Starter is faster and easier. Make sure you disconnect the battery first.

Does sound like an IAC....just don't buy the replacement from Autozone....theirs don't last long...thats why their so cheap in price.

    o2 sensor install help

Well good for you, I happened to serve in the military as well and dealt with some of the same issues with their vehicles too...what is screwing around with the starter? Its easier to take off than the manifolds and gives you all the room you need. Its a piece of cake and like I said, I've...

    o2 sensor install help

Depends on the rust. Changed one lately? I've seen plenty of s!!tcanned exhaust parts due to exactly what I mentioned. So, to be smart about it as you say, drop the starter and be done with it. And btw, rust penetrator doesn't always cut it with rusted exhaust, which I'm sure you would know...

    Vibration and metal noise

Well, so, does it do it only when you turn? Have you checked the tranny if you suspect it, to see if there is sufficient fluid? Check all the fluids, especially the trans and power steering first, then road test it and see what it takes to replicate the sound. Sounds like suspension/steering...

    o2 sensor install help

If your bolts aren't all rusted to crap! Starter removal gives ample access and then you aren't fk'ed if an exhaust bolt or stud breaks.
