    Granatelli K Member / A arms problem

It is set forward because a K member is designed to increase handling characteristics, and the more weight that is placed behind the front wheels (or between the front and rear), the better the car will handle. If you'll notice, a stock 5.0 plops the engine directly on top of the tires...very...

Help!!! (Contract $ due or Car Go By By)

Unfortunately, 45 days means 45 days. Option contracts (that's what you have) require that, if there is some purported consideration (whatever money you put down), the seller must keep the contract open to you, and only you, for the specified time the option contract allowed. That specified...

Gear Drive vs. Double Roller Chain....pros and cons

Holy jebus. Drop the mustang and enroll in a grammar course at your local community college. If that's out of the question, here's a quick lesson: The Period: Looks like this ---> . It is used to end a sentence. Very useful tool when trying to communicate with written words...

Best bang for buck: SC or heads?

I did GT40X heads, TFS Street Heat Intake, Crane 1.7s, FMS 65mm TB, C&L 73mm MAF, custom H-pipe, and 4.10s for about $2200 including labor. I bought all the stuff used, and paid to have the 4.10s installed. Had I tried to put together a s/c combo for $2200, I may have been able to do it...

    Thoughts on Internet Explorer 7

You are so edgy and cool. I think people like you, who trumpet the little guys who do it SOOOOOOO much better, are just forking totally sweet. Kudos, my friend. Kudos. I'll bet you don't drink Starbucks either, for some obscure and totally irrelevent reason. Keep on truckin'. Your purist...

    Cobra MAF

My buddy has an EE degree and a CE degree. He's a professional EE, and has been for a number of years. He thinks you are WAAAAAAAY too emotionally invested in this whole thing. Chill out...it's good for the heart. My C&L works great. Most people I have spoken with say their C&L works...

Very dissapointed in my new combo

You know what is frustrating? I could potentially have the same combo as you, and I know I'll dyno 30rwhp less. Makes me want to weep.

Very dissapointed in my new combo

I've been asking myself that for the past month! haha Everything I've done so far: Heads/Intake/RR : $1050 Custom Catted H-Pipe: $300 Gears: $500 Assorted gaskets, bolts, etc: $500 I should have known better than to assume I could keep this in a range where the wife would be...

Very dissapointed in my new combo

The car runs very well, considering I'm not jazzed with the performance. It took about 5 minutes of idling for a shakey idle to go away, and after that it ran very smoothly. The only real flat spot is between 1500 and 3500 rpms. After 3500, it comes alive, but nothing spectacular. My buddy...

Very dissapointed in my new combo

I would have as well, and I probably would have gone with different heads, too. The reason I didn't is that I was working on a very limited budget, and I found the heads, intake, and RR's for $1000 used (with 2500 miles). I need to look into the stall convertor--but it sounds like the...

Very dissapointed in my new combo

Well, I just finished with my 93's head/intake swap. Aside from a custom catted 2 1/2 h-pipe/flows and 4.10s, the car was bone stock. Still had stock timing. Today, I finished installing GT40X heads (64cc), TFS Street Heat intake, and 1.72 RRs. The car started up beautifully--took...

    Arrgh!!! Help me quickly!!

The thing I'm worried about with that route is: 1) Don't I need to drill out the hole before I insert the helicoil? If so, I don't know if I want to potentially destroy the heads in the process. 2) I don't want to buy a heli-coil and find that, while it fits over the bolt, it doesn't fit...

    Arrgh!!! Help me quickly!!

I'm about 1 hour away from finish my head install. This is driving me nuts!! I'm swapping out the stock E7s for some GT40X heads. The problem I am having is this: the bolt holes for the accessory brackets on the front of the head, which are the same shape and design as the EGR ports on the...

    93 Cobra R on ebay .... w/ only 65 miles!!

If you are really a mustang enthusiast, buy a $1000 88 LX, put $4000 into the engine and suspension, and drive the piss out of it. I'd wager it would be more powerful and more capable than 13 year-old technology band-aided onto a chassis developed in 1979.

how much hp do i have?????????

Amazing that someone with such little knowledge is trying to pass on "information". I had a nearly identical car, but with a Cobra intake. I make 221rwhp and 272tq. I would suspect that you've got anywhere from 210 - 230 at the wheels. 175 - haha. What a toolshed.

    My s/c vs. turbo paper

No mention of 14.7psi of natural atmospheric pressure, and how an s/c or turbo increases that. No mention of traditional uses of forced induction, which is to use tiny motors and not sacrifice power. No mention of hot chicks in wicked weasel bikinis (do a google search, you'll thank me). No...
