How important is the vehicle being able to move to you? There is your answer. If boot is torn, get it replaced as soon as you can afford. Otherwise, once it rusts or is making noise, then you are replacing the whole joint.

Going thru the same thing right now myself. Just put a set of Thumper heads on and finally got everything together. Took a couple short trips with the car to get it broke in. Noticed the temp would rise. Thought I just had air in the cooling system to get out. Kept topping off the coolant...

Purchased a 5.0 and I just bought some of Thumpers heads. My heads that were on the car have different rocker studs than the ones he sent me. Thru some conversations with a tech, mine "stock" ones appear to be old school heads with different rockers. Need to see what I will need to purchase...

I would have to agree........I came here everyday from '00 to '02. Then I sold my Stang...... now I am back and now things are really different! Way more lack since my last visits......but still informative......

Thanks for all the help! I can get the factory headers and full exhaust for $100. I will have to find the hangers I guess. Shouldn't be to hard. I do believe I have the double hump already. The previous owner installed a T-5 tranny and I think I saw on under there. Will update once I get...

Just picked up a '85 Capri w/ T's this past weekend! Had a few Stangs in the past. First 4 eye for me and I am liking it.... more to come....

Need some quick help from the experts. Just picked up a 4 eye Capri. I have a guy that is selling a complete header back exhaust (off road H pipe, Flowmaster mufflers, all pipes, hangers and LX tailpipes) for cheap. Will this bolt up to my 85 GT? 5.0, 5 spd. Thought there might be some...
