Electrical Gurus: Check Engine Light Wiring for 91 LX

OK, sorta for a 91 LX. I've swapped the 5.0 from a 91 LX into my 67. I used the Ford Racing Multiport EFI Engine Management Wiring Harnes (M-12071-A50, Rev 2) for the engine harness. I am installing a Dakota Digital dash. The Dakota Digital control box only has a Check Engine (-) Indicator...

Need suspension help? Check out OpenTracker

This is not a paid endorsement! We're all pretty good about sharing poor customer service experiences--I try to share the good ones too. Lots of folks post looking for wisdom on how to set up our suspensions. I can't endorse John at OpenTracker enough. His products are first quality, and his...

    Everything old is new again...

I've been away from StangNet for about 6 years, but I'm back. Looks like a few of the names I knew are still here, including @Noobz347 and Mad Mike, although I'm guessing that's him using the @CarMichael Angelo handle--is he trying to stuff a Ferrari engine in a Fairmont now? I moved from FL...

    Tuning Question

I looked at the archives first, couldn't find anything specific to my question: I've got the driveline from a 91LX in my 67. PO had it custom-tuned with an older style chip (not Diablo or SCT). I'm basically running the same setup, with the exceptions noted below: 5.0 stroked to 347 TF...

Fuel How Far Should The Throttle Body Plate Open At Wot?

Installing 5.0 in my 67. Just installed throttle cable and fabricated pedal assembly. Throttle cable is new one from American Muscle for a fox body (donor car was a 91). Cable isn't restricted, throttle linkage moves freely through entire range, but when cable is installed, the plate only...

    Engine O2 Sensor Question

Replacing the O2 sensors (car is 67 Mustang, engine is 91 5.0, no smog, stock computer, harness, etc, long tube headers). Not going to be doing any tuning immediately (donor car was tuned to match the TF HCI kit and stroker kit), but don't want to be replacing parts again if I want to tune...

In a hurry to finish the build of my 67 convertible restomod for the 50th in Charlotte. Running a 5.0 from a 91 LX, with TF intake, heads, no EGR system, no smog anything. I have the PCV valve installed in the back of the lower intake. There's two connections on the valve. Where do they...

    She's Gone...

Sold the 95 today. :( I loved that car, and had some awesome times with her over the past 5 years, but reality set in, and I couldn't justify keeping three Mustang convertibles (I know, who wouldn't want to have problems like that...). I tried to convince my wife to DD it when we move to the...

    what's this part?

Need some help. My dad's 96 gt got crunched by a deer. There is a black plastic box inside the passenger side front fender, near the firewall, with a couple of vacuum lines running off it. The car is a couple thousand miles away, so all I can see is a pic. what is it? It's cracked, does it...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator Question

Is there such thing as too much fuel pressure? 91 5.0, stroked to 347, TF Street Heat Intake, TF heads. Walpro 255 LPH pump, 30# injectors. I would like to run this Race Pump regulator, rated for 45-70# (looking for the dual outlet capability). Everything I read says stock motor should...

Fuel Injector rails for custom line routing?

Car is 67 Mustang convertible, 347, TF intake and heads, with 1" spacer. I'm looking for a way to mount my fuel rails so that the crossover hose is on the front of the intake, with the fuel lines feeding the back of the rail, so I can bring my fuel lines up from the bottom of the car near the...

    Need Part Number Research Help

In a bind, and can't seem to get the right answer via internet search; was hoping someone here had access to the part numbers and could post an answer: Is the part number for the airbag sensors for a Fox body (specifically, a 91 LX) the same as the sensors for an SN 95 (specifically, a 96 GT...

Need pics and/or diagrams-5.0 with TF heads and intake

Finally, after more than 7 years since tearing down the donor car, getting ready to put finishing touches on the engine in my 67. I need some help, though, as I have lost my razor-sharp memory to tell me where everything goes. Engine is a 5.0, stroked to 347, with Trick Flow heads and...

    Alaskans for Global Warming!

So, it's been in the upper 30s/low 40s for a couple of days now, and I've been chopping ice in the driveway like mad. Tonight I got the Shelby out and made a road trip to Wasilla, had dinner at the Red Robin (the wife is out of town-hey, a guy's gotta eat!), and put about 100 miles on the car...

    One Piece Pan Gasket Install?

Need to reinstall my oil pan (engine in car). I know these gaskets are typically installed dry, at least when installing with engine on a stand. Will it cause any problems to use gasket tack to hold gasket to bottom of block for the pan install?
