Both of you are right " lil Red" and the "Green Hornet" are both notchback's. The vert I was talking about is the one at the Volvo museum, guess it did not recieve a name, but shelby did sign the paper's saying it was one of his.

front end damage on 67, what do I do about the vin's

Check with the state you are in, do it legally before you invest 1 penny in the car. It will be a pain in the rear to restore or invest in something you can not title legally because of DMV red tape. On the 65-66- 67 mustang in my state (AZ) those are the vin number's. Only take's a few phone...

please help with excessive oil blowing out of motor.

I agree with thehueypilot and bottlefed70, if it was a cracked ring or anyother type of mechanical problem that car would be smoking like a crop duster out the exhaust. Vavle cover baffles and the pcv setup and you should be set.

Tail lights on a 1965 Fastback

Thats not right. There were plenty of cars with those mod's in 1965-66 before the 67-68 shelbys came out. They originate with the hot rodders and were featured on alot of the cars in the Ford Custom Car Caravan of 1965. The lights used were the 1965 t-birds and later the 67 cougar. Ford...

Why should I replace my freeze plugs?

I use an old socket and a hammer, and needle nose vise grip's will usually work to get them out. Make sure you get them out of the block as they will rust away and plug up the radiator or cause problem's with the water flow. The size is usually stamped on them , you will need that to replace...

Why should I replace my freeze plugs?

Freeze plugs (also called "blind" or "expansion core" plugs) are small steel plugs used to seal the holes in the engine block and head made in casting. They expand and flatten as they are driven into place, and make a tight seal. These are designed to hold the pressure of the cooling system, but...

    Anyone seen a sealed cowl?

I think you would get a better feel for the structural here: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=654129&highlight=fire+Ice The data is coming from an actual vintage mustang and done by a professional shop with the right tools. The Corner carving thread was a good read and also done by...
