    Front calipers keeps locking up

The backs are fine. The fronts are off of a 1999 GT. I bought new caliper brackets for the front and the rear. They are held on by 2 12mm bolts to the caliper bracket.

    Front calipers keeps locking up

That is what I was thinking, with the possiblity that they have sat for a while. I was thinking rust on the pistons. I will try to see if they release with the opening of the bleeder. I did not think of that. How do you remove the piston from the caliper? that sounds like something that...

    Front calipers keeps locking up

Fluid is filled. Basically the whole brake system was upgraded. New booster/ MC from a 93 cobra, new adjustable Prop valve, gutted stock valve, new lines. Rear brakes seem to be fine, just the fronts are having the problem.

    Front calipers keeps locking up

The pistons do not go back in easy, I used a c-clamp. Is that a good thing or not? I have tried different adjustments on the booster which is a 1993 cobra mc/ booster. No colapse on the brake lines. They are MM stainless steel braided lines that are new.

    Front calipers keeps locking up

The piston on the PBR calipers ( both sides ) does not retract all the way. I cannot spin the wheel with two hands, its so tight. I removed the calipers and reset the piston, and than soon as I press the brake down, they locked up again. Is this as simple as bad calipers or am I missing...

    Another brake upgrade question

I used mjbobbitt's 3-2 conversion piece and I gutted the prop valve as directed with a Ford racing parts plug and removal of spring and shaft. I also have MM stainless steel brakes lines in front and all new lines in the rear. Anybody with any suggestions? How do you adjust the pushrod of the...

    Another brake upgrade question

I am looking for a little help. I just finished a 5 lug upgrade using 99 front calipers and 95 rear calipers on my 93 Fox. I used a 1993 Cobra MC and brake booster. I bench bleed the mc and bleed the calipers numerous times and here is the question. With the car off and pushing on the brake...

    DocG's Official Underhood Cleaning Project

No, the intake was not chrome, but was polished at some point. My buddy just sandblasted everything and it came out really smooth.

    DocG's Official Underhood Cleaning Project

My engine bay is dirty and disorganized, but here it is. It has been powdercoated black chrome on the VC, upper, TB, C&L tube, radiator supports, and a couple of other things. My buddy did it for the cost of the powder. [/IMG]

    Rear disk swap

I used a 1993 cobra booster which, as I have read, should have went right in. The bolt holes line up great, but I still had to bang the strut tower quite a bit to get it in. Remember, on the booster you are watching, you will have to enlarge one of the holes to make it fit. I got my 93...

    Car reeks of fuel

I had the same problem when I had to replace my sending unit. The filler neck gasket going into the tank was torn and the sending units o-ring was pinched after I replaced the unit. I actually had fuel in my spare tire wheel well after I filled up the tank.

Looking for a good mustang magazine

I just received my first issue from both mags, and you really cannot argue for $15 dollars for two mags. Nice to have laying around when there is nothing on TV.

Who wants an archive of cool old 5.0 mag articles? I need your support.

This sounds like a great idea. I hope you can get this idea off its feet and get the support you need. Thanks

For the foxbody, they need to be pressed on. As for removal, I just used a 3 lb. slegdehammer and after a few hits, it popped right out. Good Luck

    Ball Joint question

I am in the process of converting to five lug with 94-94 spindles with 99 calipers. In the process of removing my old spindles, the ball joint grease bags were ripped, so they need to be replaced. My question is, will 94-95 ball joints fit on the 1993 foxbody control arms? Or do I need to get...
