    Help? Got rear-ended!

I just want to say that I feel your pain too! My 06 GT was the victim of a hit and run 2 weeks before the Super Bowl (to this day I'm convinced that it was a drunk Chargers fan who was pissed off his team lost!). <p>Anyway, the car was in the shop for the past 3 weeks, and I just got it...

    Which Axel-Back??

I went with Borlas on mine, and it sounds bad-azzzz! Especially at WOT, not too much drone in lower rpm's, cruising in 5th I can barely hear it. I do get some popping when downshifting, especially 3-2 and when I slow down in 2nd, but nothing extreme.

Rear Center Blackout and Taillight Blackout

I don't have the complete blackouts, since it would look pretty dumb on my car but I got the partial tail light covers. IMHO it makes the rear look alot less 'fat' by making the lights look slimmer.

    quick question for MT owners

you really shouldn't be shifting into first unless you're at a dead stop. first gear is too tall to be downshifting from second.

install help on axleback slp kit

took me about an hour to install my Borlas and that was in my garage, with a jack, lifting each side separately, and taking a smoke break in between. took maybe 10 minutes to unbolt each side and slide on the mufflers, and they lined up perfectly the first time.

Magnetic Rear Blackout, What do you guys think?

I agree with halflife, it does look ghetto. Either you want it black, or you don't. Besides, from the pics it looks like the upper part is peeling off/won't stick correctly.

2005 SVT Cobra... if there was one (discussion)

I'm digging the blacked out rear. Taking that little bit off of the lights to make them smaller and blacking out the trunk panel really does make the rear appear less "fat" and rounded.

    Revvs like heck on startup?

every mustang I have ever owned has done this, it is not a problem. i am sure every car does this you just don't notice it...probably due to the V8 and the fact that the car is loud, it makes the revving more noticeable on startup.

Actually, I don't think they come with the pony package. My dad recently got a V6 with the pony package and his came with the Bullitt wheels as the optional wheel.

Yes they are. polished aluminum. I love 'em! I'm not a big fan of chrome, and they have just enough shine to look good.

How important is the interior color to you?

has to be grey - my 85 GT was grey cloth, my 95 GT was grey leather, and my 06 GT has grey leather.

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

I'm getting anywhere from 16.4 - 17.3 mpg. my average speed is 30-33 mph - not enough highway driving to get where I need to go, I seem to spend most of my time in 25 mph zones. plus I can't help but mash that pedal! BTW GT w/ manual

Just bought 2 weeks ago, 06 Tungsten with the 18s. Previously owned a 95 GT and an 85 GT. Been browsing the forums looking for opinions on exhaust. I'm leaning towards the SLPs. Otherwise bone stock, for now!
