Dude, romeo and windsor heads work on ALL modular blocks up to 04. Only change is that the romeo heads have connected cam bearing caps and a different bolt count for the valve covers... Doesn't matter if you go from pressed on cam gears to bolt on cam gears either. they are same.

You dont need a 4 valve to make the power you want. get some I beam rods and good pistons (18cc dish manley c/r = 8.9:1), keep the stock crank and build up a new block. propowerparts.com. call and ask for bill. I get most of my parts from him. Absolute best prices and support on engine parts...

eek. That sounds like valves on pistons. If the lifters were bad, or not filling with oil, you would notice a little play in the valvtrain components. Also, the lifters are a higher pitch click, where the valves nicking the pistons is a more metalic clacking sound, almost a grinding noise. Pop...

Well, I got to see a guys car after a wreck at Sebring, had a setup close to yours. The left shoulder belt got ripped by the seat due to the angle, and the other shoulder belt ripped through the fiberglass back and broke the guys arm. All of this was made worse by the fact that he still nailed...

Since when is a 3,000lb + car a light one? Or a mustang small? Go look at a miata, then get back to me... also, as far as installations go, a vortech or similar S/C is a little easier than doing cams. And there is far greater margin for error when installing the S/C compared to the cams...

stay away from 11" clutch. all spec clutches have the same pressure plate, just use diff disk setups. Personally, I would go with the centerforce. It has a much lighter pedal feel and allows better control of the clutch. The Spec tends to be an on/off "switch" more than an accurate power...
