    Wheels for Mineral Grey GT

I don't have chrome wheels. However, I do have a Mineral Grey mustang with FR500's. Car looks a bit different now ( No wing, darker tint, brake calipers are painted black, and the FRPP K springs finally settled). pics129.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

    Wheel and Tire sizes...

18*9 in the front with 265/35/18 Summitomo's. 18*10 in the rear with 285/35/18 Summitomo's. I also lowered the car with the FRPP K springs. There is more wheel gap with my setup than others who are running a 45 series tire. This is my setups only drawback. The space between the tire and...

Woot! I just recieved my MGW Shifter in the mail! *Pics Inside 56k? Doubt it.*

Skip them. George from MGW does not recomend them. The trans has built in shift stops that are more than capable of handling missed shifts.

    2005 GT vs. 2006-2008?

I purchased a used 05, she was even a Katrina victim. And I have zero issues. She has 41,500 miles on her and going strong! Pro's to 05: 1. 3:55's on all manuals. 2. NoTPS Bands. 3. They are just better! J/K. Pro's to 06+ 1. Less miles. 2. Might still have warranty. 3. Newer...

    Gas Prices

I am tired of hearing about the evil, terrible, oil profiteering, economy trashing, George Bush! The man can barely talk, let alone affect our economy, or gas prices for that matter. I am also tired of hearing how the Evil Oil Companies are making so much money off of us. Most of Americans...

    Need Suspension Help

homebrewer, see post. I am holding off on the cutting.... for now. The drop in the front was 1.1", which is a little more than 7/16". We are talking about almost half an inch here. Which in a suspension drop is a pretty significant amount!

    Need Suspension Help

Ha ha. Thanks bigcat! I think that we should do away with the word lanyards though, and just call them plastic strap thingies. It sounds much more technical! I did not mean that you should put a cover over the hood pins. I meant (in my ignorance) you should get the pins with the...

Ha ha ha....man..I love the torque of a V8.

Good times, huh? I see that you have a Shelby GT. I just test drove one last weekend, and they are definately fun mustangs. That Hurst is really short! And there is very little throttle lag.

I don't think that hood pins will look bad with the look that you have going on. Are you getting the hood pins with the "plastic strap thingies"? (<-- Sorry don't know what they are called) I think those would look the best IMO. But, hey this is from a guy who is going to cut his springs...

    Need Suspension Help

I read on different forums where people have cut the springs on pro kits before. (Might need to go ask there huh?) I have explored other options, and cutting springs seems to be the most effective. Cutting the springs only envolves a ziz-wheel, and about 15-20 minutes, nothing more. Heating...

Yeah, I measured the car before and after. The exact amount of drop was 1.12" in the front and .98" in the rear. That is a little far from 1.5". I understand what you guys are saying about cutting the springs, and really I appreciate the concern. Not trying to be stubborn here, but I have...
