    65mm vs. 70mm Throttle Body

BMO37, Makes sense, but check out the following Corral thread I found this morning: What Horsepower & Torque Levels are 65mm Throttle Bodies good to? - Corral.net : Ford Mustang Forums There is a link to an Accufab write-up that shows their 65mm TB flowing more than a 302 can pump. In...

    65mm vs. 70mm Throttle Body

But if an Accufab 65mm flows as well or more than the competitor's 70mm, why not go for the 65mm for the improved low speed control?

    65mm vs. 70mm Throttle Body

I'm lining up parts for an H/C/I in the spring: TW FAC 170s 1.6RR TFS-1 Edelbrock Performer upper, T Moss ported lower I have a Ford Motorsport 65mm TB that I bought when they first came out in when...1990? I did a search and the consensus is that a 65mm should flow enough to feed my...

    what kind of oil????

A comment like this always interests me. What does that mean, exactly? Does anyone ever say an oil is crap? What's the difference? Without a lab analysis there is no way to tell. That being said, I have nothing against Amsoil. They do make an awesome oil filter that has been tested to...

    Tri-ax vs. Pro 5.0 vs. MGW on a T5

When I bought my car back in 1988 the only aftermarket shifter available was the cast Hurst unit, and I picked up the Thunderbird unit for the longer shift lever. Fast forward to about 5 years ago and the car came out of long-term hibernation and needed an update. I searched the forums and...

    what kind of oil????

I never said conventional oil will grenade an otherwise solid engine. The simple fact that a quality synthetic does everything a conventional oil does, but better in every way. No need for zinc or any of those other additives if you buy the proper oil in the first place. The guys who are paid...

    what kind of oil????

A couple of magnets on the filter will do zip for lubrication, but will certainly improve filtration of even the orange Fram cans immensely. Have you seen the power ratings of the rare earth magnets? Try one and cut your filter, then let me know what amount of ferrous particles are in there...

    what kind of oil????

So the shade-tree mechanic weilding the power of the internet has more insight on what additives a "quality" oil needs than the engineers that developed it? I agree that there is a lot of snake oil out there, but when you buy quality, generally you get quality. Mobil 1 motorcycle oil is top...

    what kind of oil????

Agree! After being in the motorcycle circles for years and reading the write-ups from oil engineers, I have my opinions and I'm sticking to them. A Group IV or V synthetic is where it's at. Unless you don't have cats, leave the diesel oils in the diesel trucks, that is, if you can find a...

    what kind of oil????

There are definitely differences between oils. I think Shaolin was saying that there is lots of other things besides oil in our oil as the result of half assed treatment of the product during production and testing.

    what kind of oil????

I can't imagine syn oil caused all of those problems. How may OEMs spec syn oil as their initial fill? Porsche for one. Ducati. Who else?

    Aftermarket Rockers???

I've had a set of Ford Racing 1.72 on my car for a while without issue. I am moving up to a set of TW heads and need a stud mount rocker and was thinking of going with either the TW or Comp Cams gold.

You'll need 2 8mm nuts jammed together for the adjuster.

    Cobra rear brake question

Correct. You will also need two "E" clips, but you can get those at the local hardware store. Bring a cable with you so you can pick the right size (I don't have that number handy).

Tire advice needed for 93 Mustang GT

Take a look at the Firestone Firehawk Indy Wide Ovals. They reviewed very well at Tire Rack and come highly recommended by the Corvette guys. Reasonably priced too. Visit firestone.com for discounts that beat tirerack.com.

    what kind of oil????

Oil threads...beat to death. If you can't make a decision, change your oil early and often with a brand name product. Really want to supercharge your oil filter? Add 2 or 3 dime sized rare earth magnets. Ferrous particles are what cause a good chunk of your bearing wear. Pull these out...
