Anthony, Where'd you get your kit? (sorry to hi-jack this thread) Bobby

    Ticking

....what about the fuel leaking problem? The ticking stopped after a valve cover gasket change?

    Torque boxes

Usually on the torque boxes you'll not find a weld any longer than 1/2"...most of them were 'spot/tac' welded (although I have seen them welded fully from the factory). It's always a good idea if you remove the control arms to weld up the boxes. Once you clean them really good..you'll be able...

    Ticking

The 'ticking' could be anything from a lifter to a rocker arm...among other things. From what you're describing, you're saying #8 cylinders plug and plug wire have gas visually on them? If this was the case, chances are pretty good the #8 injector is leaking. It'd be hard to see tucked under...

    5100 rpm and it quits

Even without knowing the specs on the cam...it still shouldn't be dropping off @ 5100 rpms. Since you've already checked/adjusted timing and fuel....I'd suspect weak valve springs. Especially if they're factory E7 heads/unknown milage...I'd say thats your problem. Good luck & hope this...

I need help!, O2 sensor won't come off

Heat the pipe up NOT the O2..I had to heat the pipe/bung up until cherry red and the O2 came right out. While the over-the-counter sprays work well, nothing beats heat. I think you'll par better with a small bottle of MAP gas rather than Propane..MAP gas burns hotter than propane. Good luck!

Hesitation at WOT; Backfiring, TFI Module? Tried everything!!

After trying the above mentioned ideas...look HARD at the C&L MAF. Never had any luck from their meters. I had an LX with a Vortech and had almost the same condition(s) you're describing....chased it back to the MAF. For the LONGEST time I thought mine was in the timing/fuel. It was leaning...

plugs for smog ports in back of cylinder head...

Like 'Mackey' said, it's a good idea to run a tap in them to chase the threads. Once you find the correct size bolt, be sure to add plenty of loc-tight to the bolts to prevent leaking...besides, you'll not remove them again ;-)

BBK SSI Intake Fuel Leak Problems. SAVE YOURSELF!

QUOTE=795.0pacecar;6830114]They should have designed it with the braided line in the back in the first place. I still agree.....that was my orginal post. At anyrate, I'm sure I'm not alone here when I say "thanks" to ~'t.o.93_GT'~ for the continued update he provided. Nothing like...

    Slicks + highway, how dangerous?

If they're a TRUE slick...save 'em for the track. If they're DOT's..then of course you're fine. Running a true slick for a short distance..you MIGHT be Ok..if the roads are dry. Run into rain and you've suddenly got serious problems. Take a small jack and a lug wrench with you and drive on...

BBK SSI Intake Fuel Leak Problems. SAVE YOURSELF!

Bryan, It's good that you provided this info not only here but for the future customers. I agree that the tube provided has to be too short. I hope things work out for you guys...I still recommend BBK to anyone. Thanks for the updated info!:nice: Bobby

    Main stud

While unlikely the bolts would actually 'come out of the block', it's cheap insurance to add a lil dab of loc-tight to the threads of each bolt.... Hope this helps! Bobby

BBK SSI Intake Fuel Leak Problems. SAVE YOURSELF!

Without purposely hijacking this thread, I completely understand the rails being machined for the O-rings. With this in mind, know that the O-ring(s) and a little bit of pressure (from the sandwitch effect) between the rails is all thats holding this crossover in place. Have these (this design)...

BBK SSI Intake Fuel Leak Problems. SAVE YOURSELF!

Judging by the pics orginally posted by "t.o.93_GT", IMO, it looks like it'd be a WHOLE lot easier on the installer if there were two female nipples on the fuel rail (where the metal tube is now). A supplied SS braided line with two male fittings.....connect the two and be done. How hard would...

    rod bolts

yea, I've never reused OEM bolts..ever. It's an easy fix and good insurance to install ARP's throughout...especially the rod bolts. The OEM bolts stretch and once removed, I throw 'em in the trash. Good luck, Bobby

    Intercooler tubing?

The intercooler was designed with the 2 1/2 inlet/outlets & can only flow so much....regardless of how much air you put in front of it (inlet/outlet). If the intercooler actually has 2 1/2 inlets/outlets, stick with that size. If you begin to 'stack' air inside the 3" tubing trying to force it...

    copper header gasket shoulder

errrrr....never had problems from my copper header gaskets (used 'em over and over and..)......but of course I didn't put them on 'dry' either. Use hi-tach. Bobby

    mustang injectors

Refer to the posted link provide by BLOWN 5.0 FOX and see if it's skinny like the one pictured or kinda fat like the others. I think some F-150 had the fat white injectors but were rated at only 19psi....don't hold me to it however ;-) Good luck, Bobby
