Hey guys, going to be converting my 289 from a 2 bbl to 4 bbl in the near future. I'm undecided on which intake to use. Does anyone have any feedback on either a Weiand or Edelbrock intake? I'm going to install a Holley 4160 600 cfm. Feedback is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Hey Gene. Same one different part number. I'm inclined to buy this thing and fabricate some kind of bracket to make it work. Spoke to summit and they think it might work. It's meant to be used on Holley and Edelbrock. Who knows???

So this one worked on your Motorcraft 2 barrel? I've seen the one you posted so I called Holley and they said they weren't sure if it would fit mine since I only have one screw hole where the bracket goes on the base of the carb. The bracket for that solenoid has 2 holes. If it worked for you...

Thanks guys. That's what I thought on the weatherstripping going on the lip when the lid is closed. I shouldn't have any issues with aligning the lid since its the original. Appreciate your help.

You don't want to drill it out. Stick a paper clip in the little hole that's in face of the switch, turn the key counterclockwise and pull it out. Do this while the paper clip is in the hole. I know you said you were having trouble turning the key to the ACC position but that's the proper...

I had the same problem a while back. I did the whole jiggle the key and it would work from time to time but it kept getting worse. Eventually it didn't work at all. I just ended up replacing it with a new unit.

I did a reseal of the pump and it looks good with no leaks. It was quite easy, only messy. Will post picture later.

I spoke to NPD today and the guy said it's just the one bolt in the back then the reservoir comes loose. I find that hard to believe. :shrug:

Hey Rusty67, it's off a 66 coupe, 289, auto, with no a/c. It still has the tag in the back so I'm assuming it's Ford.

Does anyone have any step by step instructions on how to reseal a leaking power steering ford pump? My pump works great...only problem is a leak from the reservoir. I don't want to tackle if it's too difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I finally gave in and took the car to a pro. I did everything stated by everyone. I changed everything, coil, wires, plugs, vacuum advance, filters. I opened up carb and looked extremely clean. The timing was dead on. Im waiting for a response from the mech. I'll let you guys know what it...
