Hello to all here. I just picked up a 96 3.8 with water in the oil, I just did a compression check and all 6 are above 160lbs so I am guessing it's the intake gasket leaking. Is this a common failure? Anything special I should look for or any helpful hints for taking it apart? Thanks, Dan

Take the valve cover off and if it's not obvious which one is bad start it and with a heavy glove on put pressure on each rocker arm, the noisy one will be easy to find. If it's just a push rod or rocker you can fix it cheap. Why drive it like that for another month? Dan
