    Anyone know where I would be able to get the distributor cap adapter gets held to the distributor by 2 screws and holds the distributor cap by 2 metal clips?

    Again my brother in laws 65 mustang 289 engine I need a pic of someones timing post that is used with the timing light..after cleaning the balancer he can now see the hash marks but dont know what the timing tit looks like Thanks in advance, Dom

    Ok thank you now on to the retarded question Well he pulled the distributor "with out calling me first" and with that said no he did not mark the rotor to the dist and dident mark the dist to the engine so my question is what is the firing order? And which way does the rotor turn?

    It is the V8 289 HIPO sorry forgot to mention that but then again I didn't know they came with the I6.. Ok now judging by what I have read and by looking at his pics it should be 6 Degrees advanced... his distributor is a single point vac advance.. correct on the 6 degree??

    My brother-in-law has a 65 I know the harmonic balancer should have hash marks for timing correct? also where is the pointer located that would tell you what time timing is at using a timing light? like on my 95 f-150 its on the passenger side.. I do not have access to this car at the moment...

    Not sure where to be asking this at but here goes I was looking at oil pumps for 302 engine they have an OEM a high pressure and a high volume this is going to be a 347 stroker and I dont want her to starve oil thanks

    Ok this is off topic but to you jrichker or anyone else that knows I replaced my 95 F-150 EEC computer with a EEC from a 95 mustang code is W4H0 now my truck did not have a MAP/BARO sensor so now that I have the mustangs EEC should I put one in and wire it into the EECs harness??

    hmm ok the TFI cleared it up for the most part its still has a slight sputter so ill go to those spark plugs and get a MAP sensor

    Well It is time for a tune up and an oil change I think I will go with the plugs you suggested and yes at the beginning of this thread I said wires and plugs where new that was back when BUT like I said I have had this odd problem ever since I bought it so for this tuneup ill try them...

    Yeah Bosh plat 4 I think BUT I replaced the TFI and so far from the short drive I did with the car warm (most noticeable) It is cleared up so I replaced the other stuff for nothing but then again its like what 21 year old car so I guess its better off that I did change all the other things...

    Ok I did buy a new TFI just haven't installed it because by the way it looks you have to take the distributor out. Now is there any possibility its the injectors? *EDIT* forgot to mention that yes it has gotten worse since we bought it

    my wifes car has did this ever since we got the car its had an odd sputter from roughly 3500 on up in the RPM range plugs, rotor, cap, wires, TPS, and coil are all new the ignition system looks stock could this be due to a bad TFI? any help/info is greatly appreciated
